Dr. Seung K. Kim has been practicing plastic surgery in the Bay Area for more than 25 years. His masterful technique and thoughtful innovations have gained him recognition as one of the area’s premiere plastic surgeons.

Education

After graduating from Dartmouth College Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa honors, Dr. Kim attended Stanford University for his entire medical education — medical school, general surgery and plastic surgery training. He was an Assistant Professor of plastic surgery at Stanford from 1983 to 1987, and has been a clinical faculty member at Stanford ever since.

Lifetime Learning

Dr. Kim believes in lifetime learning, and is constantly evaluating his own work to refine his expertise. He regularly attends educational seminars to stay current with the latest advances in plastic surgery, and incorporates new techniques only after thoroughly evaluating their effectiveness and safety.  Dr. Kim is also passionate about teaching. As an Adjunct Clinical Associate Professor in Plastic Surgery at Stanford, he devotes many hours mentoring young doctors in training.

Certifications

Dr. Kim is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, the only nationally recognized certifying board for plastic surgeons. He is also a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) and the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (ASAPS).
